POETRY EDITOR: GARY JACKSON
Born and raised in Topeka, Kansas, Gary Jackson is the author of the poetry collection Missing You, Metropolis, which received the 2009 Cave Canem Poetry Prize. His poems have appeared in numerous journals including Callaloo, Tin House, Los Angeles Review of Books, Crab Orchard Review, and he’s been published in Shattered: The Asian American Comics Anthology. He was featured in the 2013 New American Poetry Series by the Poetry Society of America and is the recipient of both a Cave Canem and Bread Loaf fellowship. He joined the Department of English at the College of Charleston in 2013, currently teaches in the MFA program and undergraduate creative writing, and is the Poetry Editor for swamp pink.…

FICTION EDITOR: ANTHONY VARALLO
Anthony Varallo is the author of What Did You Do Today?, winner of the Katherine Anne Porter Prize in Short Fiction, forthcoming from the University of North Texas Press in Fall 2023. He is also the author of a novel, The Lines (University of Iowa Press), as well as four previous short story collections: This Day in History, winner of the John Simmons Short Fiction Award and finalist for the Paterson Fiction Prize; Out Loud, winner of the Drue Heinz Literature Prize; Think of Me and I’ll Know, finalist for the Balcones Fiction Prize; and Everyone Was There, winner of the Elixir Press Fiction Award.  Currently he is Professor of English at the College of Charleston, where he teaches in the MFA Program in Creative Writing and serves as the Fiction Editor for swamp pink.

NONFICTION EDITOR: T KIRA MĀHEALANI MADDEN
T Kira Māhealani Madden is a Chinese, Kānaka Maoli writer, photographer, and amateur magician. A recipient of fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts, Hedgebrook, Tin House, MacDowell, and Yaddo, she serves as the Founding Editor of No Tokens, a magazine of literature and art. She is the author of the 2019 New York Times Editors’ Choice memoir, Long Live the Tribe of Fatherless Girls, which is now being developed as a feature film, and her work has appeared in Harper’s, The Sun, and New York Magazine. A finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the winner of the 2021 Judith A. Markowitz LAMBDA Literary Award, her debut novel, Whidbey, is forthcoming from Mariner/HarperCollins.

CONTRIBUTING POETRY EDITOR: RAENA SHIRALI
Raena Shirali is the author of two collections of poetry. Her first book, GILT (YesYes Books, 2017), won the 2018 Milt Kessler Poetry Book Award, and her second, summonings (Black Lawrence Press, 2022), won the 2021 Hudson Prize. Winner of a Pushcart Prize and a former Philip Roth Resident at Bucknell University, Shirali is also the recipient of prizes and honors from VIDA, Gulf Coast, Boston Review, and Cosmonauts Avenue. Formerly a Co-Editor-in-Chief of Muzzle Magazine, Shirali now serves as Faculty Advisor for Folio—a literary magazine dedicated to publishing works by undergraduate students at the national level. She holds an MFA in Poetry from The Ohio State University and is an Assistant Professor of English at Holy Family University. The Indian American poet was raised in Charleston, South Carolina, and now lives in Philadelphia.

Jonathan Bohr Heinen’s writing has appeared in the Florida Review, Arroyo, Cimarron Review, The Boiler, and CRAFT,  among other places, and has received special mention in the Pushcart Prize anthology. He teaches writing and publishing courses at the College of Charleston and is a staff member for the Sewanee Writers’ Conference.
